The photos were not as rare as I thought they would be, nor were they mainly wartime/combat related. Many were photos taken during testing/evaluation or training, but the book is well written, well made, and good for modelers.

Excellent book. Usually this series is mostly photos and little content. M1 Abrams Tank has maybe the best summary of the development history of the M1 up to 2015. A must get for any tank enthusiast. A nice selection of photos as well.

Great book, great pics, great history lesson on the Abrams. As a former 19Kilo on the origial XM1 and later the M1A1, it was a great trip down memory lane, and I even learned a few things that I never knew about the Abrams. Stay on the Tank!

Excellent technical book on the M1A1 and all other versions of this tank. I enjoyed the life of the tank from the beginning and each of the modifications. Made me appreciate the capability of the tank during Desert Storm.

As a modern armor model builder I am always on the lookout for good reference material. Mr. Green's book covers the M1 from the prototype 105mm version all the way to the latest SEP version. For the price it's hard to beat.

About the Author

Donald L. J. Quicke is currently Visiting Professor at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He graduated from Oxford University with a degree in zoology and after doctoral and postdoctoral work on snail neurophysiology, sea anemone ecology and spider venoms, made parasitic wasps, and especially the ichneumonoid wasp family Braconidae, his main love and research interest. He held a lectureship at Sheffield University, moved to Imperial College London in 1993 and held a joint post between them and the Natural History Museum, London, until retiring in 2013 to live in Thailand. He was made Professor of Systematics in 2008. He has travelled widely collecting and studying parasitic wasps, especially in Africa. Principles of Physical Chemistry presents a novel approach to physical chemistry that emphasizes the use of a few fundamental principles to quantitatively describe the nature of molecules and their assemblies. It begins with atoms and molecules, using the electron-in-a-box model to illustrate the essential features of quantum mechanics and why atoms and molecules exist. Thermodynamics is not introduced in the classical manner, considering the first and second law as postulates, but approached by studying assemblies of molecules statistically. The authors proceed to molecular assemblies of increasing complexity, evolving from ideal gases to real gases and solutions, then to macromolecules and supramolecular machines, and ending with the search for the logical conditions and chemical requirements for physicochemical processes leading to life's origin, the emergence of matter that carries information. This text is ideal for both undergraduate and graduate courses in physical chemistry, providing a basis for understanding the nature of chemical processes in biology, chemistry, and engineering.

Principles of Physical Chemistry examines several important topics that are often overlooked, yet are critical to a full understanding of the field, including:

• Principles of organized molecular assemblies

• Basic mechanisms in the emergence of information producing and carrying forms of matter

About the Author
HANS KUHN, Dr. phil, became a Professor at the University of Basel in 1951. From 1953–1970 he was on the chair of the Institute of Physical Chemistry at the Philipps-University at Marburg, and in 1970 he became Director at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (Karl-Friedrich-Bonhoeffer-Institut) until he retired in 1985. Professor Kuhn has published papers in such fields as polymer science, quantum chemistry, organized molecular assemblies, and the origin of life.

HORST-DIETER FÖRSTERLING, Dr. phil., was a Professor in the Department of Physical Chemistry at the Philipps-University of Marburg from 1972 until his retirement in 1999. Professor Försterling has taught physical chemistry courses and laboratory courses at all levels, including graduate and advanced graduate courses in spectroscopy, statistical mechanics, reaction kinetics, and quantum mechanics. His research interests include quantum chemistry, reaction mechanisms, oscillating chemical reactions, and chemical waves.

DAVID H. WALDECK, PhD, is Professor and Chair in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh. Professor Waldeck has taught chemistry courses at all levels, including graduate and advanced graduate courses in statistical mechanics, reaction dynamics, and quantum mechanics. His research interests include condensed-phase reaction dynamics (homogeneous and heterogeneous), solute-solvent interactions (structural and dynamical characteristics), relaxation processes in solids, and electron transport at the nanometer scale.

About the Author
Samuel T. Gladding is a professor of counseling in the Department of Counseling at Wake Forest University. He is a Fellow in the American Counseling Association and its past president. Gladding has also been president of the American Association of State Counseling Boards (AASCB) and Chi Sigma Iota (counseling academic and professional honor society international). A prolific writer, Gladding is the author of 41 books (including revisions), over seven dozen refereed journal articles, and five training videos. He has twice been a Fulbright Specialist (China and Turkey), an external evaluator of counseling programs in Malaysia, and a mental health responder after the terrorists’ attack of 9/11 in New York and the shootings at Virginia Tech.

This book is a must read for every woman who knows they are called to make an impact in the lives of others. Maybe you need someone to speak to that call you feel, but can't seem to apprehend it. While reading this book you will feel that the author is speaking directly to you and calling you to stand up in your call. You're not reading this comment by accident, the Spirit of God has something to show you through this book! I thought I found it accidentally, but after reading it I am certain my Father led me here to help me understand who He created me to be. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

Although it is a short read, it took a while for me to read because I ended up using this as a study. I like that there were so many scripture references, this made my study more effective. A must read for any woman in leadHERship!

This is one of the most profound books I have read. It both encourages and educates you. It makes you take a hard look at your life to see if you were called to leadership and helps you understand and gain the confidence to walk in your God given authority.

If I had to choose one word to describe this book, "The Deborah Anointing", it would be WEALTH. This small 135 page book is a priceless tool overflowing with a wealth of truths, revelations,divine discernment,empowerment,prophetic instructions, exhortations, and wisdom. I can feel the strength of the Deborah Anointing in the written words as I read them. The prayers and declarations are awesome! This is not the kind of book to be read one time and placed on the self. This is a powerful tool and one that I personally will use as a reference book; as a learning/teaching tool. I have recommended this book to several people. I love it! This book has me saying, "I will arise, I will do, I will flow in a Deborah Anointing for this is my calling!" While all of the author's books are excellent, this one arrested me. Congratulations Michelle McClain-Walters, I see this book on the best sellers list!

EXCELLENT!!! From the "Forward" this book started speaking to my spirit and I finished reading it within about 5 days! I ended up getting both the hard copy and the kindle version. Immediately told the leader of my women's ministry about it - and shared with my other girlfriends. My hard copy is making the rounds now. Great exposition on Deborah - and helped me to understand things about myself. Highly recommend for women - and men - to learn that we not only have a place in God's plan...but a place of honor. HE has called us to take kingdom authority just as HE has called the men - and it's time we wake up to our God given callings!

Absolutely profound. To take Deborah's life, break it down in every aspect, and use it to inspire women everywhere was genius. She has a great understanding of women in ministry and how to encourage and inspire. Women wear many hats and this book shows us that it's ok, and that we are absolutely called. I recommend this for every woman in ministry or considering it!

This is an important book for women, and professional Christian women in particular. She expands "women's place" and challenges longstanding preferences of the "church" for how women should participate in church, in government and in the larger society. The author provides a balanced, Biblical representation of how women were viewed and engaged in the work of God in the Old Testament and in contemporary times. She reframes the role of women in the larger society without undermining the authority of men in selected settings. She celebrates "femininity" without stereotyping or limiting women's expressions of their feminine self. The Deborah Anointing provides a good foundation for additional study that will empower women to be all they can be in Jesus Christ and in the Kingdom of God! Kudos and many thanks!
